bad touch

Some things that I did today that you may not want to do:

1. Use figurative language (more specifically, a simile) on the report that tells the mechanic what exactly is wrong with one's car.

2. Forget to use protection on one's fingers when removing sharp staples from a bulletin board, thereby putting a staple through one's index finger, where it is constantly rubbed or agitated in some way.

3. Check one's email 20 times a day waiting with bated breath for the ONE email that arrives, only to find that it wasn't the email one was expecting, but merely a Tenacious D mailing list email (still cool, but not cool enough).

4. Throw a semester's worth of papers, projects, etc. that one's students completed into the middle of one's classroom.

That's free advice.

"We like you, kind of." Jimmyhoffa wrote that in my guestbook, and I'm not sure that's a compliment yet.

On the foot front: my foot is throbbing. It has good days and bad. Today it matched my shirt; my shirt was blue. Today was a bad foot day.
